What is a chemical peel and how is it performed?

Chemical peel treatments are performed quickly by applying a safe and effective chemical solution to the skin. This chemical solution enhances the skin’s appearance by shedding damaged skin cells and replacing them with healthier skin cells. The damaged skin will peel off post-treatment, revealing healthy, radiant skin.

When will I notice the results of my chemical peel?

It may take approximately ten days to fully peel the old, damaged skin and reveal the healthier skin underneath. We recommend planning for significant flaking and shedding the first week after your treatment. However, do not pick at the shedding skin. “Helping” your skin to peel can cause scarring. We suggest gently patting your skin dry and following the post-treatment protocol provided by your aesthetician.
