RADIESSE® for Hands
RADIESSE® for Hands is the first and only dermal filler FDA approved to correct volume loss in the hands and help reduce the prominence of tendons and veins for smooth, natural-looking results. RADIESSE® has traditionally been used as a facial filler but is now available for hand rejuvenation.

RADIESSE® provides an immediate volumizing effect and can help to reduce the prominence of tendons and veins in the hands, delivering smooth, natural-looking results that can last up to one year.

Dr. Graivier was the first plastic surgeon in the world to use RADIESSE® for Hand rejuvenation. His expertise and knowledge will ensure quality results for our Atlanta-area and out-of-town patients. Treating the hands with RADIESSE® is a quick in-office procedure that can usually be completed in ten minutes.

Fillers
Injectable fillers such as polylactic acid or hyaluronic acid can be used to add volume and plump your hands to fill in around protruding bones and veins.

Chemical Peel
A chemical peel can be applied to the hands to treat fine lines, wrinkles, discoloration, sun damage or irregular pigmentation.

strong>Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion can be used to polish the superficial layer of skin on the hands. This skin polishing procedure involves sanding off the first layer of skin with tiny crystals.

Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy is effective for medium-sized blood vessels (greater than three millimeters in diameter). The treatment involves injecting a sclerosing solution into the affected veins with a micro-needle.

The sclerosing solution irritates the lining of the vein, causing it to swell shut and block the flow of blood. The vein will then scar and collapse, forcing blood to reroute through healthier veins. The collapsed vein is reabsorbed into local tissue and eventually fades.

Laser Vein Treatment
Laser treatment is typically used to treat small to medium-sized blood vessels (one-three mm in diameter).

A hand-piece is passed over your skin and the blood absorbs the laser light, causing the vessels to coagulate and be absorbed by the body.

strong>Intense Pulsed Light and Photodynamic Therapy
For hands with irregular pigmentation or brown (age) spots, intense pulsed light (IPL) and photodynamic therapy (PDT) may be the answer.

The IPL uses light waves to fade spots and discolorations. A series of treatments is required. For stubborn spots or discolorations, add PDT to the treatment for better results.

strong>Laser Skin Resurfacing
Laser skin resurfacing is used to treat unsightly veins and dark age spots.

Through short bursts of high intensity laser light, the upper layers of your hands’ skin are damaged. As your skin heals, healthier, younger looking tissue emerges.

Fat Grafting
Fat grafting into the hands may be recommended by Dr. Graivier to add volume, cover underlying vessels and tendons and improve the quality of your skin over time.

The fat is harvested using liposuction techniques, purified and then re-injected into your hands.

Skin excision
Skin excision is a surgical procedure recommended to patients whose hands have loose or excess skin.

Dr. Graivier will make an incision on the top of the hand near the wrist and remove loose skin. He will then suture the skin back together.

Some swelling and pain is to be expected afterwards and can be managed by medication.
