Minimally Invasive Neck/Jowl/Lower Face Tightening Surgery (ThermiTight or SideLaze)
ThermiTight or SideLaze can be performed on men and women of all ages, even in their late teens or early 20’s, but is most frequently effective for people up to their mid-50s to remove fat in the neck, jowls and lower face and to tighten the skin.
Small punctures are placed beneath the chin and at the earlobe. These puncture sites will, at most, require one suture, but often do not require a suture. Tumescent solution is infiltrated, and the SideLaze laser fiber or ThermiTight probe is inserted through the puncture incisions. Dr. Graivier will use the technology to melt the fat and add energy to build collagen and thicken and tighten the skin. A very small liposuction cannula is inserted to help reshape and contour your neck and jowls. The procedure takes about 30 minutes.
Minimally Invasive Neck/Jowl/Lower Face Tightening Recovery
During ThermiTight or SideLaze neck/jowl tightening recovery, patients will wear a neck wrap for the first two days. A neck compression garment will be provided to wear at home only for the first week.
You may return to work in two to three days. There will be some firmness to your neck for six to eight weeks, but this will soften and continue to improve over six months.
You will be given specific instructions from The Graivier Center that may include:
- How to care for the surgical site and drains, if applicable
- Medications to apply or take orally to aid in healing and the progression of your recovery
- Specific concerns to look for at the surgical site or in your general health
- Post-op follow-up appointment information
