Mid-face/Cheek Lift Consultation
At The Graivier Center, we value our personal relationships with our patients. Each patient is treated as an individual, and as such, is given a personal consultation prior to any treatment. Dr. Graivier and his staff will meet with you to help you make decisions regarding which procedure(s) or treatment(s) will result in achieving your aesthetic goals. The consultation will conclude with a discussion about the desired treatment, your expectations, the benefits and risks associated with the treatment and post-treatment recovery.
Mid-face/Cheek Lift Complementary Procedures
It’s a common practice for patients undergoing mid-face/cheek lift surgery to combine several procedures at once that will offer complementary or enhanced results. At The Graivier Center, we will take the time to walk potential patients through all of the risks and benefits of each surgery, whether you choose a single treatment or multiple treatments.
Patients undergoing mid-face/cheek lift surgery can elect to combine the following procedures for enhanced results:
Mid-face/Cheek Lift
The goal of the procedure is to elevate the deflated and descended soft tissue of the cheeks to a higher position on the facial bones. This will decrease the hollowing in the area below the eyelids and diminish the folds on either side of the nose and mouth.
The procedure is done with the assistance of an endoscope inserted through incisions in the scalp. Facial fat grafting is usually performed to the smile lines and to also add fullness to the cheeks.
The downward corners of the mouth and the jowls will be improved, cheek fullness will increase and the smile lines will soften. The result will be a more youthful, yet natural, appearance. For patients whose aging is limited to the mid-face region, this makes the cheek lift more beneficial than a standard facelift procedure. Results are more permanent than those offered by injectables, and recovery from a mid-face lift is quicker than a traditional facelift.
Mid-face/Cheek Lift Recovery
During your mid-face/cheek lift recovery, a bandage may be placed around your face to minimize swelling and bruising once your procedure is completed.
