Buttock Lift Surgery
Buttock lift surgery, will remove excess sagging skin and fat that results from aging, heredity factors or dramatic weight loss in the gluteal area.
In buttock lift surgery, an incision is made in the upper buttock belt line. The incision will hide in a two-piece bathing suit or bikini. The loose buttock is elevated and excess skin is removed. Laser-assisted liposuction and fat grafting may be added for shape enhancement.
Buttock Lift Surgery Recovery
Following your buttock lift surgery, dressings will be applied to your incisions and a compression garment will be placed to minimize swelling and to support the healing of your buttocks following surgery.
You may be permitted to go home after a few hours with instructions to wear your compression garment 24 hours a day for two weeks during your recovery.
You will be given specific instructions that may include:
- How to care for the surgical site and drains
- Medications to apply or take orally to aid healing and reduce the potential for infection
- Specific concerns to look for at the surgical site or in your general health
- When to follow up with The Graivier Center
Buttock Augmentation Surgery/Brazilian Butt Lift or Buttock Implants
At The Graivier Center, our buttock augmentation surgery (sometimes called a Brazilian butt lift) is done with a fat transfer to reshape your buttocks. This surgery can balance a patient’s figure by increasing fullness, roundness and projection of the buttocks.
Using a combination of liposuction and fat grafting, Dr. Graivier will reshape your buttocks to your desired shape. He will harvest fat from the thighs, flank, hips or other lower body areas. After undergoing purification, this fatty tissue is transferred into the buttocks to enhance their size and shape.
Buttock Augmentation Surgery Recovery
During your buttock augmentation surgery, dressings will be applied to your incisions and a compression garment will be placed to minimize swelling and support your buttocks as it heals following surgery.
In addition, small temporary drains will be placed in existing incisions beneath the skin to remove fluid if implants are used.
It is very important that you avoid prolonged sitting for at least two weeks, as this can damage the fat transfer. When you do sit, you will be advised to use a pillow or cushion to help raise the buttock and avoid putting pressure on the fat grafts. Lastly, you will be instructed on a proper sleeping positing during your recovery.
It may take several weeks for the swelling to fully dissipate. You can generally resume exercise six weeks after surgery.
