Cellulaze in Alpharetta, GA
Cellulite is a multifactorial issue that affects 85% of all women, regardless of body weight or the amount of exercise that one does.
Cellulite occurs when bands of connective tissue just beneath the skin pull in causing dimples. The skin thins and surrounding fat cells increase in size and are squeezed and pushed upward creating bumps that some people call the “cottage cheese” effect.
Most cellulite treatments are superficial, targeting only the surface of your skin. However, a new procedure, approved by the FDA, treats cellulite at the source. Cellulaze™ is a revolutionary advancement which uses a side-firing laser technology to release the tight bands, melt the bulging fat, and thicken and smooth the dimpled skin.
Dr. Graivier has trained numerous plastic surgeons from all over the world in Cellulaze, and The Graivier Center has been one of the primary training sites for the Cellulaze procedure.
Cellulaze™ Consultation
At The Graivier Center, we value our personal relationships with our patients. Each patient is treated as an individual, and as such, is given a personal consultation prior to any treatment. Dr. Graivier and his staff will meet with you to help you make decisions regarding which procedure(s) or treatment(s) will result in achieving your aesthetic goals. The consultation will conclude with a discussion about the desired treatment, your expectations, the benefits and risks associated with the treatment and post-treatment recovery.
Cellulaze™ Complementary Procedures
It is a common practice for patients undergoing Cellulaze™ to combine several procedures at once that will offer complementary or enhanced results. At The Graivier Center, we will take the time to walk potential patients through all of the risks and benefits of each surgery, whether you choose a single treatment or multiple treatments.
Patients undergoing Cellulaze™ can elect to combine the following procedures for enhanced results:
- Abdominoplasty
- Body contouring with removal of bulging fat (thighs/hips/knees/abdomen) can be performed in conjunction with Cellulaze™. For more severe cases, additional non-invasive cellulite technologies (SmoothShapes, Exilis) may be recommended to enhance results.
- Buttocks enhancement
- Liposuction
Cellulaze™ Procedure
Effective cellulite treatment addresses the three causes of cellulite: dimpling, areas of bulging and thinning of the skin, which occurs along with aging. The Graivier Center believes that Cellulaze™ is the best option for reducing the appearance of cellulite in one effective, non-invasive treatment.
The Cellulaze™ treatment starts with the administration of a local anesthesia. Next, tiny incisions are made and the Cellulaze™ laser fiber is inserted. The Cellulaze laser fiber is used to release the tethered fibrous bands, put energy into the bands to stimulate shrinking, and then turned to face the undersurface of the skin. This stimulates “shrink wrapping” of the skin and collagen stimulation to thicken the skin diffusely. The result is significant correction of cellulite.
Cellulaze Recovery
Your recovery from Cellulaze™ will be minimal. Patients may experience some bruising, soreness and general discomfort immediately after the procedure.
Dr. Graivier may recommend wearing a compression garment. After a day or two, you will be able to resume normal activities. Strenuous exercise can usually resume after one or two weeks.
Over the next three to twelve months, the treatment area will become increasingly smooth and supple.
